We would like to take the opportunity to look back on 2022 and thank you for your continuing trust and support.
Like most people, we had probably assumed that the topic that preoccupied us most this year would still be the pandemic. However, we now have to deal with issues such as war, the energy crisis or climate change on a daily basis. Therefore, we are pleased to be able to give you a positive review of our HypZert year 2022:
The HypZert anniversary Annual Convention in June was our absolute highlight. Finally, we were able to get together again to exchange ideas and celebrate with you in Berlin. For the first time, we offered a live streaming of some of the lectures. We are grateful for your consistently positive feedback and will further expand this offer for the Annual Convention 2023 in March in Dresden.
Another event highlight was the Expo Real trade fair in Munich. With more co-exhibitors than ever before, we experienced once again a trade fair at pre-pandemic level.
We could alsohold our written examinations in Berlin and Frankfurt as planned. This year, we can congratulate a total of 167 newly certified HypZert valuers – 7 of them are HypZert MLV valuers!
We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate not only our newly certified appraisers, but also our "more mature" valuers. With our 25th anniversary, the following certified persons have also achieved their 5th star: Tobias Balling, Peter Buchwald, Dieter Eisenträger, Maximilian Frings, Frank Giertz, Thomas Hansen, Frank Hemmer, Herbert Henkel, Ludwig Hoch, Gabriele Höfert-Voigt, Dirk Klingebiel, Piet Kok, Thomas Krautwurm, Claus Marcinek, Dieter Pieper, Jens Rödiger, Volker Schneider, Christian Schwiertz, Olaf Steitz, Michael Tracht, Ernst Wild and Rolf Zimmermann.

Our HypZert Professional Groups were also extremely productive this year: no less than seven new studies were published. Of course, you can find them all in the library of your Valuers Corner. Please contact us if you are interested in translations into English. Once again, we would like to thank all members of the Professional Groups for their excellent work.
The Financial Supervisory Authority Bafin was also productive: the BelWertV amendment was finally published in October after a long wait. The vdp calls it an "important step on the way to a modern property valuation". We are proud that just a few days after publication, our colleagues from the vdp, Annett Wünsche and Matthias Fischer, presented the essential changes to you in a webinar. Since this important step also raises many questions, you will find all changes as a summary of the online seminar in your Valuers Corner under "My Seminars". In the "Library" you will also find the new version of the BelWertV.
Finally, we would like to mention that there has also been growth in the HypZert team this year and Oliver Nikolow has been supporting us in certificate administration since September. As an experienced administrator, he enriches and expands our team and is at your disposal for questions and ideas.
With these pieces of information for the cold winter days, we would like to wish you a relaxing Christmas season and a healthy and happy start to the New Year! We are already looking forward to another pleasant and successful cooperation with you in 2023.
