A milestone in HypZert's history: The 1,000th certified valuer

Who would have thought it - when HypZert was founded, we reckoned with around 300 potential valuers in banks. In 2010, we were able to award our 1,000th certification certificate.

As already described in the statement by Ms Höfert-Voigt, HypZert as a company is very female. And as chance would have it, the 1,000th certification certificate also went to a woman.

With Sarah Steiner, a woman passed the exam in 2009 who still has a special role within HypZert today: Ms Steiner has been a member of the HypZert Examination Committee since 2021.

A lot has happened to Ms Steiner, who is a CIS HypZert (F/M) valuer at KENSTONE in Stuttgart, since she was honoured at the 2010 Annual Convention. In the following. she shares her impressions with us.

The most valuable aspect for me as a HypZert valuer: the network

"There would be a lot to tell about what has changed as a result of becoming a HypZert valuer or in the working and market environment since my certification in 2009. But at this point I would like to talk about one of the most valuable aspects for me as a HypZert valuer, and that is the network.

Already during the preparation for the certification, I made great contacts that have resulted in friendships that have lasted until today, and this continued in the context of the Regional Group meetings, among other occasions. The HypZert Annual Convention is also always a great opportunity to exchange ideas and maintain contacts throughout Germany.

Recently, personal contacts unfortunately suffered from the restrictions in place and as great as the many digital offers of HypZert and other organisers are, I hope that events in the usual framework and also personal meetings will be possible again as soon as possible.

One of the most impressive developments since my certification in 2009 has been the job market. While valuer positions were still rare in 2009, today real estate valuers are probably more sought after than ever.

The certification now opens up numerous career opportunities, which are not least due to HypZert's high reputation and quality standards. I don't think I speak only for myself when I say that I wear my certification with pride.

I wish HypZert and all valuers that we will successfully master the challenges of the future, which will certainly be characterised by digitalisation and the use of artificial intelligence, as well as sooner or later a trend reversal in the market, and that we valuers remain as respected and in demand as we are today."
